The Old Bailey has some interesting stories related to Chevalier’s – some of which I can directly relate to my family. Simply search on surname, the story of Francis Chevalier stealing a glass coach is one case I enjoyed.
The Channel Islands family history society has lots of information about Jersey. The Jersey Archive has an excellent online index including brief descriptions and some photos.
The Cornwall family history society has lots on information on Cornwall. The Devon family history society has information about Devon.
