This Chevalier family originates in Jersey, Channel Islands, and Philip George Chevalier moved to London, England in the late 1800’s. Since then the family has moved around the south east of England.
There is another family in the UK that is called Chevallier (note double ll) who originate in Jersey but moved to Aspall, Suffolk, England. I have found a rather distant link to my own tree, but I am still looking to substantiate the connection. See Chevallier for more details.
Details of other – as yet unconnected – Chevalier’s will appear when I have time. They are mostly Cheval(l)ier’s that were on Jersey.
